WHAT IS A PORCELAIN VENEER PROCEDURE LIKE FOR PATIENTS IN wildomar?
When patients visit Velk Family Dentistry, we will first numb, then prepare your tooth/teeth by removing a portion of the enamel. This helps the veneer lay flat and in line with your gum tissue. After preparing the tooth/teeth, a digital impression (scan) will be taken and sent to a dental lab where it will take approximately two weeks to fabricate. In the meantime, a temporary veneer will be cemented with a temporary cement. While wearing the temporary veneer, it is important to brush your teeth gently and avoid eating any foods that may dislodge it.
When your permanent veneer(s) are ready, you will come back into our Wildomar dental office so that we can remove the temporary and ensure that the new veneer is a perfect fit. If any adjustments need to be made, it will be done at this time. Otherwise, the tooth will be cleaned, and the dental veneer(s) will be bonded to the tooth. Results are immediate, and you can start flashing your new smile right away!
